If your keyboard, mouse, or headset does not respond for several seconds after booting into Windows, try disabling the USB selective suspend setting to prevent Windows from powering down connected USB devices.
Steps to Disable USB Selective Suspend Setting
- Press Windows key + R to open the Run box.
- Type
powercfg.cpl
and press Enter. - In the Power Options window, click Change plan settings for your current power plan.
- Click Change advanced power settings.
- Expand USB settings.
- Expand USB selective suspend setting.
- Set the dropdown menu to Disabled.
- Click Apply to save your changes.
