To control ASUS component lighting in iCUE, you need to ensure that the following software is installed:
- The latest version of iCUE and the newest version of iCUE's ASUS Plugin.
- Make sure your version of Windows is up to date.
- You may need to manually check periodically for cumulative updates.
- The latest version of ASUS Armoury Crate
- Navigate to the Update Center under settings in Armoury Crate, update all the items, and then reboot your system.
Make sure you have the ASUS Plugin installed in iCUE. Click the SETTINGS icon at the upper right-hand side, select the Plugins section, and install the ASUS plugin.
Once you have the plugin installed in iCUE, navigate to Armoury Crate > Aura Sync > Aura Effects> Enable In-Game lighting Effects > Game list.
Once on the game list, drag iCUEDevicePluginHost.exe over Armoury Crate - Aura Sync and select OK.
Once you have the latest version of iCUE and Armoury Crate installed, the ASUS components in your system should appear as tiles on iCUE's Home screen.
Hover your mouse over the tile and click Lighting Effects to customize your hardware.
Now, you can select from several preset effects or create your own. For more customization, you can apply multiple lighting layers to shape whatever lighting effects you desire further.
NOTE: Using Lighting Link effects will sync the lighting effect across all iCUE-compatible devices currently connected to your system.
Please note: If your motherboard has an analog 12-volt RGB header, you can also use iCUE to control the lighting of devices attached to the header.
